Ojo de Agua

Mya- This is the Ojo de Agua. The water comes straight from the volcano. We swam for 3 hours on the first day and 4 hours on the second day. I can't wait to go back.

Ela- We swam lots! There was a cool slide thing that we got to swim thru under the bridge. It was so much fun!

the beach

Swimming in the ocean was really cool. We found lots of shells and even hermit crabs. Our cousin showed us some really neat stuff. This day was the best!

chickas

This is the view of the lagoon Masaya from the information center at the volcano. You can take guided walking tours through the forest all the way to the lagoon. It was so cool at the volcano. We learned lots of stuff at the center because the information is in both English and Spanish.

Cheese!

Tostones and fried queso. They taste really yummy. Tostones are fried platanos and the queso is fresh. The queso is salty and different from what we are used to. Together they are very good!

Volcano

We are at the Volcano Masaya. We walked 177 stairs up to the cross. My sister was really scared. This volcano is active and the last time it erupted was in the 1600's. The fumes are very strong so you should only stay for 15-20 minutes at the top. When I stood on the volcano it made me feel special. -Mya

It was fun at the volcano but I was a little scared. When I looked inside of it, it was so far down, I felt like I was going to fall in it.-Ela

Gym Class

We try to go swimming every day as part of our schooling. My mom is teaching us how to float, how to dive and proper swimming techniques. We love to swim.

Grandma aka

This is our Grandma. We call her Mama Luz. When we arrived we took her dancing. She was so excited.
